Lieutenant CHARLES FREDERICK WORMULL of the wireless section of the Royal Flying Corps died on 4 October 1917 of injuries sustained in a flying training accident.
He was commissioned into the RFC from the ranks of the London Electrical Engineers on 1 October 1916. Three weeks later he was promoted Equipment Officer 3rd class carrying the rank of Second Lieutenant. In August 1917 he advanced to Equipment Officer 2nd class and Lieutenant.

He is buried in West Norwood cemetery.

Location of Memorial:
His name is remembered on the war memorial at St Dunstan’s College, in the pages of the History of The Old Dunstonian Rugby Football Club and on the Honours Board at Alleyn’s .

Details:
He was the son of Mr. F. A. S. and Mrs. E. J. Wormull, of 235, Bromley Rd., Catford. He was educated at Alleyn’s in Dulwich and attended St Dunstan’s College in Catford from 1907-1911.
