Second Lieutenant CHARLES PATRICK WOGAN-BROWNE of 99 Squadron RAF died on 13 September 1918 when the DH9 in which he was flying as Observer was shot down and crashed at Essegny.
He is buried in Charmes Military Cemetery, Essegny. His pilot 2nd Lieutenant Edward Crosby is buried next to him.

He is remembered on the war memorial at St Mildred’s church, Lee.
Details:
He was born on 10 June 1899. His mother lived at 41 St Mildred's Road, Lee. He attended Colfes Grammar School from 1911 to 1915.
