Sergeant (Pilot) WILLIAM JOSEPH WALTER WISEMAN Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve serving with 10 squadron RAF died on active service on 25 June 1942, aged 26. At this time the squadron was based at RAF Leeming in Yorkshire. His death appears to have been caused by illness or accident as there is no trace of him in the operational records for this date.

He is buried in Ripon cemetery, Yorkshire.

Location of Memorial:
He is remembered on the Roll of Honour at the Church of St John the Baptist, Southend.

Details:
He was the son of William and Daisy Wiseman, of Bromley.
