War Service: Henry Wilson served as a Private with the 7th Battalion The Buffs (East Kent Regiment) and his service number was G/5506. He died on 1st July 1916.
Location of Memorial: Private Wilson is remembered on the Thiepval Memorial and on the war memorial at the church of St Luke's, Deptford.
Details: Henry William Wilson was born in 1889 to Henry and Elizabeth Wilson of 90 Gosterwood Street, Deptford. Before joining the army he was employed as an engineer's labourer at an ironworks.
