Lance Corporal 292694 HAROLD PERCY WHITTAKER of 3/10th battalion Middlesex Regiment was killed in action on 30 September 1917, aged 29.

He is buried in Dozinghem Military Cemetery near Poperinghe.

He is also remembered on the Sydenham South Suburban Gas Works war memorial.

Details:
He enlisted in Forest Hill. He was the son of Nathan and Amy Whittaker, of Brockley. He was the husband of Ada Whittaker, of Braziers Farm, St. Osyth, Clacton-on-Sea. They married in Lewisham in the summer of 1914.
