Welch, Richard

Dates: [1879-1918]

War Service: Richard Welch served as a Rifleman with 4th Battalion Kings Royal Rifles Corps. His service number was 45512. Rifleman Welch died on the 9th November 1918, aged 39. He is buried in grave I. A. 21 at Caudry British Cemetery.

Details: Richard Welch was the son of William and Amelia Welch and the husband of Florence M. Welch, of 24 Brookmill Road, Deptford, London.

Richard and Florence were married in Wandsworth in 1907. They had two daughters, Lilian Florence and Ethel May. In 1911 they were living at 53 Brookmill Road and Richard was employed as a postman.
