Webster, William George

Dates: 1894-1919

War Service: William Webster served as a Rifleman with the 5th Battalion Rifle Brigade and his service number was S/31569. He died on 2nd March 1919, aged 25.

Location of Memorial: He is buried in Brockley cemetery, where his name is recorded on the screen wall listing those whose graves have no headstone.

Details: William Webster was the son of Emanuel and Charlotte Webster of 39 Crooke Road, Deptford.

In 1911 he was recorded living at 39 Crooke Road, Deptford with his parents and his siblings, Harry, Daisy, Nelly and Louisa. He was employed as a butcher.
