Private DOUGLAS WATERLAND of 1/23rd battalion London Regiment died on 26 May 1915, aged 24.
He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Le Touret Memorial.
Location of Memorial:
He is remembered on the war memorial at Goldsmith’s College, New Cross.
Details:
He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Waterland, of "Glenmuir", 4, Brussels Road, Wandsworth. He was educated at Battersea Polytechnic School and Goldsmith’s College and went on to be a teacher with the London County Council.
