Lieutenant EVELYN HENRY VERESMITH of 14th battalion Royal Fusiliers died of wounds on 9 July 1916 in No. 5 Casualty Clearing Station. At the time of his death he was attached to the 9th battalion.
He is buried in Corbie Communal Cemetery Extension.
Location of Memorial:
He is remembered in the Roll of Honour at Blackheath Proprietary School and on the Mottingham war memorial.
Details:
He was 25 years old, the son of Daniel A. and Marie L. Veresmith, of Abbotsbury, Mottingham. His brother Daniel died of wounds on 14 April 1917.
