Private DAVID VANNER of the Army Veterinary Corps died on 10 May 1918 while serving at Wessex Division Veterinary Hospital, he was 22. He had previously served with the Royal Field Artillery.

He is buried in Brockley cemetery, where his name is recorded on the screen wall listing those whose graves have no headstone.

Location of Memorial:
He is remembered on the memorial at the Church of St James, Hatcham.

Details:
He was the son of Thomas Charles and Elizabeth Ann Vanner, of Malpas Road, Brockley. His brother Alfred died on 19 April 1918.
