Private 52024 FRANK ALLAN URRY of 24th battalion Royal Fusiliers died on 2 May 1917 aged 30. The 24th was formed in 1914 as one of the so-called ‘Sportsmens’s battalions’.

He is buried in Aubigny Communal Cemetery Extension, near Arras.

Location of Memorial:
He is remembered on the war memorial at the Private Banks Cricket and Athletic Club in Catford.

Details:
He was born in Margate, the son of Walter B. and Elizabeth Frances Urry, of Staveley Lodge, 3, Northdown Avenue, Cliftonville. He was employed by Lloyds Bank.
