Private THOMAS TYERS UNDERWOOD of 1st battalion Honourable Artillery Company was killed in action on 13 November 1916, aged 20.

He is buried in Ancre British Cemetery, Beaumont-Hamel.

Location of Memorial:
He is remembered on the war memorial at Blackheath Congregational Church.

Details:
He was the son of John and Laura A. Underwood, of Highfield, Chalfont-St.-Giles, Bucks. His brother Edmund died on 30 July 1916 while serving with the Royal Fusiliers.
