War Service:
Private MAURICE TUDENHAM of 2nd battalion Irish Guards was killed in action on 30 September 1915. The battle of Loos, which began on 25 September, was the newly formed 2nd battalion’s first experience under fire. From 27th when they first went into action until the night of 30th September when they were relieved the battalion sustained 334 casualties.
He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Loos Memorial.

He is remembered on the Loos Memorial and on the memorial at the church of St. Luke, Evelyn Street, Deptford.
Details:
He was probably born in Greenwich in the spring of 1882.
