Thorp, Thomas

Dates: c1891-1919

War Service: Thomas T Thorp served as a Private with the 150th Company Labour Corps and his service number was 524808. He died on 9th February 1919 of pneumonia aged 29.

Location of Memorial: He is buried in Brockley cemetery, where his name is recorded on the screen wall listing those whose graves have no headstone.

Details: In 1901 Thomas Thorp was recorded living at 35 Deloraine Street, Deptford with his widowed mother Ada, his brother William and his widowed grandmother, Hannah Roles.

In 1911 he was recorded living at 35 Deloraine Street, Deptford with his widowed mother Ada and his brother Henry. He was employed as a grocer’s assistant.

He married Dorothy Lucy Robinson between July and September 1913 in Bromley.
