Talbot, Norman Hale

War Service:
Second Lieutenant NORMAN HALE TALBOT who originally served with the Honourable Artillery Company was killed in action on 24 August 1916 while seconded to the 5th Battalion Oxford and Bucks Light Infantry. He had also served in South Africa in 1914 with South African Forces.

He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial to the Missing of the Somme.

Location of Memorial:
He is remembered on the war memorials at St Stephen’s church, Lewisham High Street and the parish church of St Mary.

Details:
He was 26. He was the son of Alfred George and Frances Hannah Talbot, of 12, Lewisham Hill.
