Lieutenant CECIL MELLIAR TALBOT of 4th battalion Middlesex Regiment was killed in action near Hooge on 27 September 1915.

He is buried in Brandhoek Military Cemetery.

He is memorials at Christ Church, Forest Hill. and the church of St James, Hatcham.

Details:
He was born 20 September 1890, the son of Francis and Sarah Talbot. of "Shaerleon," Clacton-on-Sea, and 200 Rotherhithe Street, London. He was educated at St Olave’s Grammar School (1902- 1907) and London University where he was a member of the Officer Training Corps. He was commissioned on 10 March 1915. His death was reported in The Times of 14 October 1915.
