War Service: Daniel Sullivan first enlisted in the army in 1901 and served in South Africa in 1902. He re-enlisted in 1913 and served as a Private with the 1st Battalion The Queen's Own (Royal West Kent Regiment). His service number was L/6153. He died 24th October 1914.

Location of Memorial: He is remembered on the memorial at Le Touret and at the church of St Luke's, Deptford.

Details: Born in 1883, Daniel was the son of Daniel and Elizabeth Sullivan of 66 Charles Street, Deptford. He had two brothers, Timothy John and Jeremiah Joseph, and a sister Margaret Mary. He married Harriet Elizabeth Dalley and their daughter, Margaret Mary, was born in 1910. In 1911 Daniel was employed as a stevedores labourer and was living with his family at 31 Albury Street. His wife, Harriet died in 1912. After his death, Daniel's daughter is recorded living with his parents at 82 Etta Street.
