Second Lieutenant OLIVER JOHN STONE died on 22 September 1916, aged 29. He served in the 4th (Wessex) Brigade, Royal Field Artillery but at the time of his death he was attached to No. 2 Battery of the 41st Brigade.

He is buried in Gezaincourt Communal Cemetery Extension, near Doullens.

He is also remembered on the memorial at Holy Trinity church, Sydenham.

Details:
He was the son of Edward Mulready Stone and Alice Maria Stone, of "Cumnor," The Drive, Sydenham.
