Sergeant ARTHUR WILLIAM STEVENS RAFVR died on 13 June 1943, aged 21.

At the time of his death he was serving as Wireless Operator/Air Gunner on Handley Page Halifax DT-568 of 51 Squadron RAF operating from RAF Snaith in Yorkshire.

He is buried with four other crew members in Weerslo (Rossum) Roman Catholic Cemetery in the Netherlands.

He is remembered on the memorial at St Bartholomew’s church, Sydenham

Details:
He was the son of Frederick Arthur and Eva Blanche Stevens and husband of Irene Lilian Stevens of Sydenham.
