Rifleman 302933 MONTAGUE W SPURLING of the 1/5th Battalion the London Regiment, London Rifle Brigade, died on 15 August 1917.

He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Menin Gate at Ypres.

He is remembered on the memorial at the South East London Synagogue New Cross.

Details:
He is believed to have been born in Mile End in the summer of 1897 and lived at 67 Blenheim Gardens, NW2.
