PETER STANTON SMITH was a Merchant Navy apprentice. He died aged 18 on 17 February 1941 when the 8,000 ton MV Siamese Prince was torpedoed by a U boat south west of the Faroe Islands while en route from New York to Liverpool.
He was lost at sea and is commemorated on the Merchant Navy memorial at Tower Hill.

He is remembered on the memorial at Christ Church, Forest Hill.
