Private 3829 GEORGE HENRY SLATTER of ‘A’ company, 20th (Blackheath and Woolwich) battalion, London Regiment died of his wounds on 5 October 1916.

He is buried and remembered in Douai Communal Cemetery.

Location of Memorial:
He is remembered on the war memorial at St Hilda’s church, Brockley and also on the 20th London Regiment Roll of Honour.

Details:
He was 19 years old, the son of Frederick and Clara Slatter, of 30, Merritt Rd., Brockley. His brother Fred was killed in June 1917.
