Signalman 14582115 WILLIAM RAYMOND JACK SILVESTER, Royal Corps of Signals, died on 6 September 1944 in Hampshire while attached to 15 Air Formation Signals.

He is buried in Brookwood military cemetery.

Location of Memorial:
He is remembered on the Roll of Honour in the church of St John the Baptist, Southend.

Details:
He was born in Camberwell in the summer of 1924, the son of William Jesse and Ruby Silvester. In the autumn of 1943 he married 21 year old Esme Olive Nosworthy in Camberwell. She came from Plympton in Devon.
