War Service:
Private 3045 PERCY SILVESTER of ā€˜Dā€™ Company, 1/20th battalion of the London Regiment was killed in action on 26 September 1915, aged 28.

He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Loos Memorial.

Location of Memorial:
He is remembered on the war memorial at St Laurence, Catford and also on the 20th London Regiment Roll of Honour.

He was the son of George and Sarah Silvester, of 4, Canadian Avenue, Catford. His brother Reginald was killed on 7 June 1917 while serving as a second lieutenant in the 20th.
