Private 9047 WALTER SILCOX 3rd Battalion Royal Fusiliers died on 1 May 1915, aged 28.
He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Menin Gate at Ypres.

Details:
He was the son of Walter and Minnie Silcox, of 95, Summerfield Street, Baring Road, Lee, and husband of Olive Dallow (formerly Silcox) of 46 Dillwyn Road, Lower Sydenham. His brother William Henry also died in the First World War. They were survived by two other brothers who also served, Charles his older brother and Alexander, who was injured while serving as a sniper and became a sports master at Rugby School.
