Rifleman 654001 LESLIE VICTOR SHINN of 1/21 battalion London Regiment (First Surrey Rifles) died on 6 April 1918, aged 20.

He is buried and remembered in Gezaincourt Communal Cemetery Extension.

Location of Memorial:
He is remembered on the war memorial outside the church of St Hilda in Brockley and also on the Brownhill Road Central School, Catford.

Details:
He was the son of Alfred and Harriett Elizabeth Shinn, of 27 Northwood Road, Forest Hill. His brother Stanley died on 13 December 1918 while serving with the 20th London Battalion.
