Gunner 142457 ALFRED OSCAR SHELDRAKE of 306 Seige Battery Royal Garrison Artillery died of wounds on 6 November 1917, aged 21. He first went to France on 12 May 1915.

He is buried in Duhallow Advanced Dressing Station cemetery.

Location of Memorial:
He is remembered on the war memorial of the Sydenham, Forest Hill & District Tradesmen’s Benefit Society.

Details:
He was the son of George and Claudia Sheldrake of 94, Devonshire Rd., Forest Hill.
