Private G/1729 WILLIAM FRANCIS SHEEN of 7th battalion Queen's Own (Royal West Kent Regiment) was killed in action on 29 September 1916, aged 20.

He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial to the Missing of the Somme.

Location of Memorial:
He was remembered on the war memorial which stood in Monson Road in New Cross.

Details:
He was the son of Mr. J. and Mrs. L. Sheen, of 12, Faulkner St., New Cross.
