Second Lieutenant WILLIAM VAUGHAN SCULTHORPE of the 1st/22nd Battalion the London Regiment died on 8 June 1917. His commission as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Londons appeared in the London Gazette of 5 November 1915.

He is buried in Woods Cemetery just outside Ypres.

He is also remembered on the war memorial in St Bartholomew’s church, Sydenham.

Details:
He was born in Leicester in the spring of 1891, the son of Mr. W. Sculthorpe, of "West Leigh," 3, Ashleigh Rd., Leicester.
