Ethel Maria and Maud Louisa are remembered on the Brockley Cemetery Deptford Civilian WW1 War Memorial.

Details:
Ethel Maria [1896] and Maud Louisa [1894] died at 181 Ilderton Road, Deptford aged 22 and 19. They were born in Lambeth and Camberwell to William Henry Scotten [1863] and Eleanor [1867] nee Padbury. They had 9 children by 1911 and 5 had already died. Only Ernest survived the raid but he was injured. Their children were; Alice Eleanor [1887 - after 1919, married Charles Peach in 1906], un-named Male child who was born and died in 1891, Maud Louisa [1894], Ethel Maria [1896], Grace [1897 - 1898], Charles [Born and died in 1899], Ernest [12 July 1903 - September 1970] and Percy [Born and died in 1905]. Eleanor's sister Alice Emma Slade lived also at 181 Ilderton Road and 1 of her children Florence also died in this raid of 7 September 1915.
