Gunner CHARLES HENRY SCHNAAR of 94 Siege Battery, Royal Garrison Artillery was killed in action on 23 May 1918, aged 33. He enlisted in June 1916.

He is buried in Franvillers Communal Cemetery Extension.

Location of Memorial:
He is remembered on the memorial at the church of St James, Hatcham.

Details:
He was the son of Henry Charles and Margaret Schnaar and husband of Elizabeth Amy Schnaar, of 34, Whitcher Street, New Cross. They were married in Greenwich in the summer of 1912.
