Saw, Arthur Connorton

War Service:
Flight Sub-Lieutenant ARTHUR CONNORTON SAW, RNAS was killed on 21 April 1916 in an air crash at Alverstoke in Hampshire. He passed for his aviators certificate on 29 March 1915, flying a Short biplane at the Royal Naval Flying School at Eastchurch on the Isle of Sheppey.

He is buried in Haslar Royal Naval Cemetery, Gosport.

Location of Memorial:
He is remembered in the Roll of Honour at Blackheath Proprietary School.

Details:

He was born in Greenwich on 10 May 1881, the son of Samuel and Elizabeth Saw. Before the war he worked for the Eastern Telegraph Co.
