Private 2740 FREDERICK SANGER of 24th (County of London) battalion London Regiment ( The Queen’s) died of his wounds in Marylebone on 8 August 1915, aged 22.
He is buried in Brockley cemetery where his name is recorded on the screen wall listing those whose graves have no headstone.
Location of Memorial:
He was also commemorated on the war memorial which stood in Monson Road in New Cross.
Details:
He was the son of John James and Mary Elizabeth Heath Sanger. He enlisted in Kennington. His brother Arthur Ernest was killed in action.
