Private S/674 SYDNEY GEORGE SAMWAYS of the 1st Battalion the Queen's Own (Royal West Kent Regiment) died of wounds on 27 October 1917, aged 31.

He is buried in Lissenthoek Military Cemetery between Ypres and Poperinge.

Location of Memorial:
He is also remembered on the memorial at St Bartholomew’s church, Sydenham.

Details:
He was the son of George and Annie Samways, of Sydenham.
