Lance Sergeant 6139650 ERIC WILLIAM SAICH [or Sach] of the 11th Battalion East Surrey Regiment died on 2 October 1941, aged 29.

He is buried in Syston cemetery.

Location of Memorial:
He is also remembered on the memorial at St Bartholomew’s church, Sydenham.

Details:
He was the son of Ernest Walter and Maud Saich [or Sach] and the husband of Winifred Mary Saich [or Sach], of Syston, Leicestershire.

Note: A war memorial was proposed by The Forest Hill and Sydenham Rovers (Scouts) and Lance Sergeant Eric Saich was proposed (note dated 7.11.1948 signed by Ron Rushbrook, District Rover Scout Leader).
