Rycroft, Frank Harold

War Service:
Rifleman R/18603 FRANK HAROLD RYCROFT of the 18th Battalion King's Royal Rifle Corps died on 31 July 1917, aged 24. The 18th (Arts and Crafts) Battalion was raised by Sir Herbert Raphael, MP and had its depot in Gidea Park , Essex.

He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Menin Gate at Ypres

Location of Memorial:
He is remembered on the memorials at the church of St George, Brockley, now the Brockley Elim Baptist church and at the church of St James, Hatcham.

Details:
He was the son of Mrs. S. L. Rycroft, of 23, Malpas Road, Brockley. He was probably born in Hackney in the summer of 1893.
