Private 4352 ERNEST ALLEN ROBERTS of 2/6th Battalion South Staffordshire Regiment died on 27 November 1917.

At the time of his death he was serving with 68th Area Employment Company of the Labour Corps. The Area Employment Companies of the Labour Corps were often used for salvage work.

He is buried in Les Baraques Military Cemetery, Sangatte near Calais.

He is remembered on the memorial at St Bartholomew’s church, Sydenham.

Details:
He was born in Denbighshire. He married Mabel A Palmer in Camberwell in the autumn of 1915. They lived at 3 Panmure Road, Sydenham.
