Quinn, John

War Service:
Private 11366 JOHN QUINN of 15th battalion Hampshire Regiment died of wounds on 12 September 1918 aged 25.

He is buried in Esquelbecq Military Cemetery in Flanders

Location of Memorial:
He is remembered on the memorials at St Michael and All Angels, Sydenham and Sydenham South Suburban Gas Works.

Details: He was the son of Mrs. Alice Mary Quinn, of 13, Bell Green, Lower Sydenham and one of five brothers who went to war only one of whom returned. His brothers who died were Arthur John Quinn, Charles Quinn and Edward Quinn. Their brother George Alfred Quinn alone survived the war .
