Quinn, Charles

War Service:
Private 11367 CHARLES QUINN of 11th battalion Hampshire Regiment killed in action on 16 June 1917 aged 27.

He is buried in La Laiterie Military Cemetery, near Ypres.

He is remembered on the memorials at St Michael and All Angels, Sydenham and Sydenham South Suburban Gas Works

Details:
He was the son of Mrs. Alice Mary Quinn, of 13, Bell Green, Lower Sydenham and one of five brothers who went to war only one of whom returned. His brothers Arthur John Quinn, Edward Quinn and John Quinn, also died. Their brother George Alfred Quinn alone survived the war.
