Gunner 78772 EDWARD HORACE PREW of ‘F’ Battery, 14 Brigade, Royal Horse Artillery was killed in action on 24 August 1918.

He is buried in St Amand British Cemetery, near Doullens.

Location of Memorial:
He is remembered in the Book of Remembrance, St Saviour, Forest Hill.

Details:
He was 20, born in Deptford, the son of William Thomas and Eliza Jane Prew, who later moved to The Chestnuts, Farleigh Common, Whyteleafe, Surrey. His brother, George Samuel died in 1916 while serving with the RAMC.
