Boy Seaman GEORGE WILLIAM PIGGOTT died of illness in HMS Victory, the Royal Naval barracks in Portsmouth, on 28 December 1917. He was 17.

He is buried in Beckenham cemetery and is named on the screen wall in Beckenham cemetery along with other servicemen whose graves are not individually marked

He and remembered on the war memorial of the Sydenham, Forest Hill & District Tradesmen’s Benefit Society.

Details:
He was the son of Mrs. Bryant of 48A, Anerley Station Rd., Anerley.
