THOMAS PETERSON of 11 Alverton Street was killed on the night of 19 March 1941 in an air raid on the Royal Victoria Victualling Yard in Deptford.

Details:
He was 26 and employed by the Admiralty as an Acting Skilled Labourer. He was posthumously awarded the King’s Commendation for Brave Conduct for his work that night. The award was announced in the London Gazette of 27 May 1941. He was the son of Mrs T. Peterson, of 20 Avonley Road.
