War Service:
Private G/10665 FRANCIS WALTER PENNEY of 7th battalion Queen's Own (Royal West Kent Regiment) died in a prisoner of war camp on 2 July 1918. He was 25. He was reported missing in action between 21 and 28 March 1918, the opening days of the Kaiserschlacht, the German’s last offensive of the war.
He is buried in Berlin South Western Cemetery.

He enlisted on 3 November 1915 and gave his occupation as clerk.
He was the son of Walter Barnes Penney and Lillian Charlotte Penney, of 127, Malpas Rd., Brockley. He was born in Kennington.
