Gunner 74349 CHARLES PEACOCK of 200 Seige Battery, Royal Garrison Artillery was killed in action on 27 May 1918, aged 26.

He is buried in Franvillers Communal Cemetery Extension between Amiens and Albert .

Location of Memorial:
He is also remembered on the memorial at the church of St James, Hatcham.

Details:
He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Peacock, of 37, Woodpecker Road, New Cross. Before the war he was an engineer’s bench hand.
