Lance Bombardier CHARLES ERNEST DOUGLAS PARTRIDGE of 143 (Kent Yeomanry) Field Regiment, Royal Artillery died on 23 April 1945, aged 25.

He is buried in Becklingen War Cemetery, near Soltau, Germany.

Location of Memorial:
He is remembered on the memorial to the 91 and 139 Field Regiment, Royal Artillery in St Swithun’s church, Hither Green.

Details:
He was the son of Charles Henry and Elizabeth Mary Partridge, of Stepney. His 20 year old brother Stanley Arthur died on 8 April 1945 while serving with the Kings Own Scottish Borderers.
