Parsons, Edward

Dates: 1891-1916

War Service: Edward Parsons served as a Corporal with the 20th Battalion London Regiment and his service number was 4624. He died on 24th October 1916, aged 27, at the General Hospital Manchester.

Location of Memorial: He is buried in Brockley cemetery, where his name is recorded on the screen wall listing those whose graves have no headstone.

Details: Edward Parsons was born c1891 in New Cross. In 1911 he was recorded living at 7 Walsham Road, New Cross with his parents Edward and Beatrice. He was employed as a greengrocer. He had four brothers; William, Herbert, Richard Albert and Frederick, and two sisters; Edith and Mabel.
