Sergeant (Air Bomber) ALBERT JAMES OUDINOT RAFVR of 10 Squadron RAF was killed in action on 19 November 1943. At 1622 on 19 November Handley Page Halifax ‘ZA - K’ took off from RAF Melbourne in Yorkshire to bomb Leverkusen in Germany. At 21:35 on its way home it crashed into a hangar at RAF Tangmere in Sussex killing all the crew. ZA-K was one of two 10 Squadron aircraft lost on this operation.

He is buried in Lewisham (Ladywell) cemetery
