War Service:
Corporal NORMAN SYDNEY of ‘A’ Company, 2/20th (County of London) battalion London Regiment (Blackheath and Woolwich) was killed in action on 30 July 1916, aged 19. He volunteered for foreign service on 31st August 1914, at the age of 17 years.

He is buried in Ecoivres Military Cemetery, Mont St Eloi near Arras.

Location of Memorial:
He is remembered on the war memorial at St Peter’s church, Brockley.

He was the son of Frederick and Annie Crouch of 8, Bournville Rd., Catford.
