War Service: Private Henry Nicholls served with 8th Battalion The Queen's Own (Royal West Kent Regiment) and his service number was G/1449. He died 26th September 1915 and is commemorated on Panel 95 to 97 at Loos memorial.
Location of Memorial: Private Nicholls is remembered on the memorial at the church of St Luke's, Deptford.
Details: George was born in 27th February 1891, the son of Arthur G and Annie Nicholls, and was baptised on 15th April 1891 in Deptford. In 1911 they were living at 57 Baildon Street, Deptford and George was working as a sawyer. He had three brothers Arthur, George and John and a sister, Louisa. George Nicholls is also remembered on the St Luke's Church war memorial.
