Private HUGH FITZPATRICK NELSON of 1/14th battalion London Regiment (London Scottish) died on 25 September 1916, aged 25.

He is buried in St Sever cemetery, Rouen. During the Great War there were at least fifteen military hospitals on the Southern outskirts of Rouen. The great majority of the dead from these hospitals were buried in the cemeteries of St. Sever and the St Sever extension.

Location of Memorial:
He is remembered on the war memorial at St Andrew’s church, Brockley. He is also remembered on the London Scottish war memorial at their headquarters in Horseferry Road, SW1

Details:
He was the son of Major and Mrs David Nelson of ‘Clova’, St Margarets Road, Brockley.
